Plastic is a problem for any living creature at the planet, pilot whales are not an exeption. More and more pilot whales are dying from plastic because they think it’s pray. If there are to many plastic bags in the stomach of the whale, it can not eat anymore, and it will die from starvation.
A while ago a pilot whale was swimming / floating close to the shore of southern Thailand. It was struggling to swim, and people tried to rescue the whale. During the rescue attempt ,the whale vomited five plastic bags, it died after a few days. After its death, authorities extracted 80 bags from its stomach, weighing around eight kilograms.
